CO2 Processing

The CO2 Processing group is interested in developing new routes for CO2 utilization in the construction sector, with focus on integrating solid waste streams from industrial processes. Our research spans processes including: CO2 separation, synthesis of solids having high carbonation potentials, and CO2 mineralization during the production of building materials. These new technologies and products are optimized for CO2 uptake capacities and rates, and mechanical properties, and present a means of scalable and sustainable CO2 management.
